"What makes a nation, is the past, what justifies one nation against others is the past",

Following this sentiment, The Azaadi week celebrations at Dhamaal 24 started from 9th August itself, the anniversary of Quit India Movement with radio stories on the various stages of freedom struggle.

Lest the new generation not forget the untold saga of the familial sacrifice of the martyrs, dramatized versions of their interaction with their families (right from the 1857 Revolt to the present day Kargil war) have been on the air as “Zara Yaad Karo Qurbaani”
Other than this, “Quiz India Movement” has been launched which lets the young listeners from school and college participate in quiz on the freedom struggle. The entire stationality has a patriotic fervour attached to it and whips up the emotions suitably.

Says, National Programming Head, Anil Kapoor,” when talking of a nation, it becomes very imperative that the past should also be talked about. And the past of India is as fascinating and interesting as it is momentous. So we have consciously tried to pass on the legacy to the new generation. . The listeners, feedback on this is profound and we are truly humbled at this.”
