An extremely successful cricket tournament –a rip off the IPL –only difference being one was on ground and the other was on air, came to an end on the 24th May. The entire show was conceptualized to give a chance to the margin players (who always have an advise or two for the players regarding how to play) to be in the hotspot right at the crease and feel the stress and heat of being in the middle.  This unique  radio tournament had all the twists and turns of  real cricket like ties, china man, googly, sudden death, twelfth player, man of the match et all. The 8 teams of Dhamaal family followed the format and schedule of IPL to the T.

The DCC saw over 9000 participation and the listeners remained glued to the match timings supporting their favourite teams. The entire schedule of 59 matches had one more first to its credit- that all were original and real matches with genuine players, no fakes and no fixing. Dhamaal listeners were excited to be a part of radio history by being able to witness such an innovative, unique and mega activity in as much DCC became talk of the town during it run of entire run 37 days. The tournament found regular space in local media and the listeners’ testimonies stamped the authenticity seal on its unique entertainment quotient.

Dhamaal has the distinction of creating history by evolving this first time ever concept of Radio Cricket.
